I Peter 1: 3-9

Blessed be the God and Father our Lord Jesus Christ,
who according to His great mercy
has caused us to be born again to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled
and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,
who are protected by the power of God through faith for salvation
ready to be revealed in the last time.
In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while,
if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials,
so that the proof of your faith being more precious
than gold which is perishable, even though tested by fire,
may be found to result in praise and glory and honor
at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
and though you have not seen Him, you love Him,
and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him,
you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,
obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.

Then July came and so did little Paxson James.

**Note: In June, my dear friends Alisa & Larry had another little boy, Silas. But alas, they live in FL, and I have not met the boy yet.

Happy 4th of July!

Corrie, Scott, Chad and I went to the Mountains for the 4th. It rained a lot, but thankfully the sun was out while we hiked.

I like this photo.

Everyone had to try on Chad's cool aviators.

Cor & I glad to be in the car when it was raining.

The rain stopped, so let the fireworks begin.

We're ready.

Oooooo

It's midnight and the boys are hungry.

Trip Across the Mountains

I went on a small road trip with some friends over Father's Day weekend. As typical with these friends we had some car issues. Thankfully, there was no hitchhiking this time.

While on this road trip, I also got to visit some friends. Here is Holly with her cool flower.

Kris, Holly, Ryan and me with our pipe cleaner creations.

After visiting these friends, I met back up with my traveling companions to do a little cherry picking.
